I actually like 401K's. But, they are dangerous.
Here's a one sentence history lesson: In the 1980's the country shifted to the 401(k) from pensions that offered guaranteed income and the majority of the country believed that they would be okay by consistently putting aside 3%.
But now, people are learning, after three decades of saving funds into the 401(k), that they actually don't have what they need to retire comfortably. Or even retire at all.
